It all began in 1976 when I received my first 110 film camera and began taking family portraits for my dolls.

My career as a corporate photographer started many years after college in Atlanta, Georgia, working with Spitfire Studios. In 2003, after 8 years of full time employment, I decided to go freelance, maintaining many of the same clients over the years, but seeking other ways to use my gift of photography.

In March of 2007 I left my home and work behind to start a journey around the world.

Along with a group of students, I traveled to every inhabitable continent over the course of a year, seeking to bring awareness to injustice through photography.

Upon our return to the US, we published a book, Sex & Money: A Global Search for Human Worth which shares our photographs and personal encounters with the harsh realities of injustice in our world, specifically highlighting the issue of human trafficking.

The book has been shared around the world along with a message of hope that we can all make a difference by using the tools that are currently in our hands.

Wanting to engage further in the issue, I put down my camera for a season in 2009. I volunteered for an anti-trafficking organization in New York City, building relationships with many other anti-trafficking groups nation wide in order to purposefully put an end to human trafficking.

I continue to work with corporate clients on a freelance basis, seek out opportunities to share the book and help to mobilize others to respond in the fight to end human trafficking, as well as look for new opportunities to use my camera to fight against other injustices in the world.
